About TMBP
1.1 What is TMBP? 🤔
TMBP, or Timberland Mountain Bike Park, is your ultimate mountain biking destination! ⛰️ We've got a network of awesome trails nestled in the beautiful Timberland Heights, and we're part of the Timberland Highlands Resort. Think of it as your playground for two-wheeled adventures!
1.2 What are the different trail ratings?
We use a color-coded system to rate our trails:
White: Beginner-friendly, perfect for those new to mountain biking.
Green: Intermediate trails with some fun challenges.
Blue: Advanced trails for experienced riders.
Black: Expert-only trails for those who like to push their limits.
Check out our Trail Directory for more info.

1.4 Are there climbs at TMBP?
TMBP is nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountain range, so expect some climbs whenever you ride. The best part? You’ve got descents too! 💪
1.5 Are there any technical features on the trails (like drops, jumps, rock gardens)?
Yes, technical trail features amp up the fun factor. Expect to encounter rollers, berms, tabletops, bridges, and drops in all of TMBP’s trails. Features are clearly marked and all drops have a rollable backside. Always ride within your abilities and scope out features before hitting them. Remember to check out our Trail Directory for detailed info on each trail's features and difficulty. 🤙
1.6 What is the longest trail at TMBP?
Currently, our longest trail is Enter the Dragon, clocking in at 1.8km. Check out our Recommended Routes, which features seamlessly-linked trails for longer rides.
1.7 Do you have any plans for expanding the trail network in the future?
Absolutely! We're always cooking up new trails and features to keep things fresh and exciting. Stay tuned for updates on our expansion plans! 😉

2.3 How do I register to ride? 📝
It's super easy! Just head over to the TMBP Office at Timberland Highlands Resort. You'll need to sign a waiver, pay for access, and get your rider wrist tag—then you're ready to hit the trails! Stoked to ride often? Get a Rider ID for even more perks!

Before You Ride
3.1 I'm a first-time visitor - any tips? 🤔
Welcome to the TMBP crew! Let us know you're a first-timer when you register at the TMBP Office, and we'll give you a quick intro to the park. And hey, remember to take it easy on your first ride and get a feel for the trails.
3.2 What trails are good for beginners? 🗺️
Warm up those legs and skills on Skyline, Fifty First Dates, or Ground Hog Day. These trails are perfect for getting a feel for the TMBP flow.
3.3 Where can I learn more about the trails?
Check out our Trail Directory for all the details, and our Recommended Routes, which features seamlessly-linked trails for longer rides. You can also download the Trailforks app for more information.
3.4 What should I wear? 😎
Gear up for an awesome ride! Helmet (it's a must!), comfy riding clothes, gloves, eye protection, and closed shoes are your best friends. It's also a good idea to bring a multi-tool, tire levers, a spare tube, and a pump just in case, along with ample hydration with water bottles or a hydration pack.
3.5 What kind of bike should I use? 🚴
A hardtail mountain bike with front suspension and knobby tires is recommended. A dropper post is also helpful for those technical sections!
3.6 Can I use a gravel bike at TMBP?
Timberland Mountain Bike Park is designed specifically for mountain bikes to ensure the best possible experience on our unique trails. While gravel bikes are versatile, they may not be suitable for the varied terrain, which includes technical sections, steep descents, and challenging obstacles. These features are essential for navigating TMBP's trails safely and comfortably.
To ensure your safety and optimal handling, we recommend using a mountain bike with front suspension and knobby tires for better grip on loose or rocky sections. Mountain bikes also offer more powerful brakes designed for steep descents and quick stops, which are crucial for TMBP's terrain.
Choose the right bike and enjoy your ride at Timberland Mountain Bike Park!
3.7 Can I use an e-MTB? ⚡️
Pedal-assist e-MTBs are welcome! Throttle-based e-bikes are not allowed.
3.8 What should I do if I encounter another rider on the trail?
Since our trails are one-way, you'll mostly be encountering riders going in the same direction. If you're coming up behind someone and want to pass, just let them know you're there! A friendly "Passing on your left!" or a simple "On your left!" will do the trick. Give them space to maneuver and be patient—we're all here to enjoy the ride. 🤙
And hey, a friendly "hello" or a nod never hurts either! Let's keep those good vibes flowing on the trails. 😊
3.9 Do you offer guided tours or lessons?
The Dirt School at TMBP will be launching soon. So stay tuned for updates!
3.10 What are your recommendations for hydration and nutrition while riding?
We recommend at least 2 water bottles and a snack for a morning out on the trails. The Pit Stop at Launch Pad also sells some refreshments should you run out.
3.11 How do weather conditions affect riding at TMBP?
We always prioritize rider safety, so we'll keep you updated on any weather-related closures or trail conditions. Check our website or social media for the latest info before you ride!

Love snapping pics and videos on the trails? Awesome! We're stoked to see your TMBP adventures. 📸 🎬
Cameras and Videos:
- Safety First: Keep your eyes peeled and be aware of your surroundings while filming. Don't put yourself or others at risk.
- Clear the Way: If you need to stop for that epic shot, pull over to the side of the trail so you don't block other riders.
- Respect the Vibe: Not everyone wants to be a star. Be mindful of other riders and ask permission before filming them.
- Share the Stoke: Don't forget to tag us in your rad photos and videos! Use #upintimberland #timberlandmountainbikepark #ridetimberland and @ridetimberland.ph
- Commercial Photography and Videos: Planning a professional photo or video shoot at TMBP? Sweet! Reach out to us via Facebook Messenger so we can help coordinate and ensure everything aligns with our guidelines.
Drones:
-
Recreational Drones: For the safety of all guests and to minimize disruption to the natural environment, recreational drone use is prohibited within TMBP boundaries. This includes all trails, parking lots, and surrounding areas.
- Commercial Drones: Commercial drone operators must obtain prior authorization from TMBP management. Please contact us via Facebook Messenger so we can help coordinate. Please have your flight plan, purpose, and proof of insurance ready. TMBP will review your request to ensure it meets our safety and operational guidelines.
Keep it real: Use common sense and prioritize safety when capturing your TMBP adventures. Let's keep those good times rolling! 🤙
5.13 Are there any designated areas for smoking?
To keep TMBP a breath of fresh air for everyone, we're a smoke-free park! That means no cigarettes, cigars, or vaping anywhere within the park boundaries.
Remember the "S" in S.H.R.E.D. stands for "Smoke-Free Trails." We want to protect the health of our riders, preserve the natural beauty of our surroundings, and prevent fire hazards.
Thanks for respecting our smoke-free policy and keeping TMBP a clean and healthy place to shred! 🚭🌳
5.14 Can I bring my own music speaker to play tunes on the trails?
We're all about those good riding vibes, but let's keep those tunes to ourselves! Remember the "H" in S.H.R.E.D. stands for "Hold the Music." Loud music can be a distraction to other riders and can disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the park. Let's respect our fellow shredders and the natural environment by keeping the trails quiet and enjoying the sounds of nature. 🎶🌿
If you want to listen to music while you ride, pop in some earbuds and keep the volume at a reasonable level so you can still hear what's going on around you. Let's keep TMBP a safe and enjoyable place for everyone! 🤘
5.15 What is this "Real Riders S.H.R.E.D." thing I keep hearing about?

Real Riders S.H.R.E.D. is all about promoting responsible riding, respecting the environment, and making sure everyone has a rad time at TMBP.
5.16 What should I do if I witness an accident or injury on the trail?
Whoa, that's a tough situation, but staying calm and helpful is key! Here's what to do:
Safety First: Make sure the area is safe for yourself and others. If there's immediate danger (like oncoming riders), warn them.
Assess the Situation: Check on the injured rider(s). Are they conscious? Can they move? Get a sense of how serious the situation is.
Call for Help: If it's a serious injury, call for help immediately. You can reach our Bike Park Patrol by dialing [insert patrol contact number here] or, if no signal is available, flagging down another rider to get assistance.
Provide Support: If you're able to, provide basic first aid and comfort to the injured rider until help arrives. If not, stay with the injured rider until help arrives.
Be a Witness: When the Bike Park Patrol arrives, provide them with any information you have about the accident. Your observations can be super helpful!
Remember, your safety and the safety of others is the priority. Don't attempt any heroics or put yourself in harm's way. By following these steps, you can help ensure the injured rider gets the care they need.
